REED TOOL KITS
Forrests Oboe Reed Tool Kit
Our own tool kit contains all the tools and supplies needed for that first reed making lesson: a knife with blade protector, a D-04 mandrel, a F-02 cutting block, a G-09 plaque, a ruler with metric and English scales, and a C-03 fine grit sharpening stone. Also included are a few pieces of cane, a couple of staples, a strip of goldbeater's skin, some bee's wax and, of course, a spool of thread. All this comes conveniently stored in our V-73 tool bag.
In addition to the kit we recommend that you also order one of our well illustrated reed making books.

Our own deluxe bassoon reed tool kit contains: a knife, the E-07 mandrel, the E-01 reamer, the E-38 pliers, the F-03 cutting block, the G-13-R plaque, the G-05 brass wire, and the R-05 stainless steel ruler, all stored in our V-73 tool bag.
