Kits
Three Stone Sharpening System
Three 6" X 1 5/8" sharpening stones: fine hard Arkansas (1000 grit), medium soft Arkansas (600 grit) and coarse aluminum oxide (400 grit), mounted on a molded plastic triangle which fits into the sturdy plastic nonskid base. The triangular stone bar has handles on the ends to make it easy to rotate so the correct stone is exposed. No need to fear spills, the base has a trough to catch any oil drippings. The system includes honing solution and a plastic angle guide.

Knife Sharpening Kit
This sharpening kit includes two sharpening stones and a bottle of the finest honing solution. The 5" x 1.6" medium (400) grit stone is set on a block for easier use. The 4" x 1" fine (1000) grit Arkansas stone is for the final polishing of the cutting edge.

Ceramic Sharpening Stone, Fine Grit
1/4"x1"x5" ceramic block mounted on a wood paddle. This man made material is so hard it will even hone tungsten carbide. Use with honing oil (such as our #C-15) or water as a lubricant.

Diamond Sharpening Stones
Diamond "Stone". This 1/4" steel plate, coated one side with diamond dust, is the most effective sharpening stone we have seen. It will hone the hardest of steels and restore worn cutting edges. Even when worn to velvety smoothness, it still works! Comes in a practical leather pouch. Use dry, or with water.Fine (600) grit diamond

Sharpening steel
Forrests Smooth Sharpening Steel
Use this tool frequently to restore your knife's sharp edge. A sharp knife may feel dull because the edge has (on a microscopic scale) bent slightly so you are now scraping on the curve, not the sharp edge. The polished and hardened steel will bend the steel back and restore your sharp edge. It does not remove any metal, so it doesn't replace a sharpening stone. 3-3/4" steel with wooden handle; total length 7-1/4". Comes with a leather sheath.

Not for use on knives, such as most Landwells, where the two edges are ground at different angles.
