Which type of seat strap do I need?
Which seat strap do I need?
Seat straps come in two basic types, those that clip to a hole in the boot cap (P-01 & P-02), and those
with a cup for the boot cap to sit in (P-03-N & P-34). Which one will work for your bassoon depends on whether there is a hole
in your boot cap.
Bassoons with a hole in the boot cap
You can use any of our seat straps. If you prefer the simplicity of the S hook, use the P-01. If the hole is
nearer the center of the cap you may prefer the P-02 for the added flexability the split ring gives you. If you prefer
the cup style, you can use either the P-03-N or P-34.
Bassoons without a hole in the boot cap
You can only use the P-03-N or P-34.

Leather Seat Strap With Cup
Black leather seat strap with an adjustable cup (secured with velcro) for the boot cap. The "chair" portion is a 1.5" wide leather strap with non-slip backing. The entire strap and cup are fully sewn, there are no metal parts to damage your bassoon.
