Finding Products
We have over 1700 products on our site, so making
it as easy as possible to find what you are looking
for is one of our top priorities. There
are 4 easy ways to find what you want:
1) Click on any of the subjects shown at left
to open the various sub-headings. These
links will lead you to the correct page.
2) Click on the "Table of Contents"
link on the left side of the page. This will take
you to a list of product categories, much like
a table of contents in a printed catalog.
3) Enter a keyword (i.e. "reed")
into the search box. This will find all
the items which match that keyword.
4) If you know the catalog number, from a previous
order, enter it into the search box. This
will find just that item.
Purchasing
To purchase, just click on ,
which will put the item in your shopping cart.
There you can review your order, change the quantities,
return to continue shopping, or complete your
order. What could be easier?
Delivery Time
Because we keep a large stock of merchandise on
hand, we ship most orders (excluding
instruments) in 1 or 2 business days. Delivery
time depends on the shipping type you select,

Sales Tax
We are required to collect sales tax on all purchases, as well as
shipping and handling, on orders shipped within California.
Orders shipped outside of California are not subject to sales tax.
Ordering by Mail
We are happy to fill orders received by mail or
fax also. Please see the "How
to Pay" page for details.

Satisfaction Guaranteed
All items (except instruments) may be returned within 30 days of
receipt of merchandise provided the item, and its retail packaging, is complete
and in new resalable condition. Shipping charges, duties and
taxes are non-refundable. If we shipped the item to you at no charge we
may deduct the shipping charge from your refund.
The following are not returnable:
- repair parts
- used reeds
- special orders
- items which were first sent on trial before purchase.
Please examine all items promptly upon receipt. No adjustments
can be made after 30 days of receipt of merchandise.
Légère Reeds
Legere reeds are not returnable unless defective.
Legere says
Germicides such as Sterisol can be used to clean the reeds, but
you should not assume that such products will sterilize them.
We advise against sharing reeds or using reeds that have been
tested or played by others.
Returns Please see above for conditions.
When returning items, please include a copy of the invoice for proper credit.
If we made an error in filling the order, we will re-fill the order at no
additional shipping charge and compensate you for the return postage/shipping - but
not more than the original shipping charge. (This does not apply when the
order was shipped free.) You are responsible for merchandise until it
safely reaches us, so please repack items properly to prevent damage.
We are not responsible if your returned merchandise is lost or damaged in shipping to us.
International Orders
We welcome international orders, and try to make
it as easy as possible. After we receive
your order we will email you with the shipping
& handling charges and options. After
you approve the shipping costs we will charge
your credit card and ship the order.
Privacy
We are all concerned about protecting our security and privacy when using the
Internet. At Forrests Music we will always treat your personal information with
the utmost care and respect.
Security of the information Forrest Music collects
Credit Card & Ordering
Your credit card information (number, expiration date and security code) is never
on our servers, and we never see it. The credit card form is an iframe loaded by your browser
over a secure connection from stripe.com. Your credit card number goes directly from your browser
to stripe.com. We receive the results of the transactions, never the credit card details.
We do not see, and do not have access to, your card number; We only see the results of the transaction.
When you place an order your card is authorized
for the amount of the order. When we invoice your order for shipping we capture the
invoice amount. We do not receive any money until the day after your order has been invoiced
for shipping.
All personal information is encrypted when stored and transmitted. Transmission over the Internet
uses TLSv1.2 or TLSv1.3, depending on your browser, for a secure connection.
Financing
The application process available on our website is an iframe loaded by your browser from
United Midwest Savings Bank over a secure connection. Your personal information is sent directly from
your browser to United Midwest Savings Bank. We do not see the data on the form, all we receive are
the results of the submission.
The information collected automatically
Like most web sites, some information is automatically received and collected
in our log files and by Google Analytics, Google AdWords and Logical Position when you visit us. Forrests Music logs the IP (Internet protocol) address
of the computer you are using, the operating system and browser you are using,
the date and time you accessed the site, and the address of the web site from
which you linked to our site (The "Referer" (sic) HTTP request header).
This information is used to monitor usage.
If you use our search function we also log what you searched for, and the results.
We use this information to tailor the search function, and to identify products
we should add to our selection.
The information you provide us
If you choose to purchase something, we ask you to supply the minimum
amount of information needed to safely and conveniently complete your transaction.
This includes:
Name (shipping & billing)
Address (shipping & billing)
Telephone number (in case we need to contact you about your order)
E-mail address (so that we can confirm your order)
Payment information
Payment information
You can pay by either credit card or PayPal. If you pay by credit card
your credit card number goes directly from your browser
to stripe.com. We receive the results of the transactions, never the credit card details.
We do not see, and do not have access to, your card number.
Cookies
Cookies are required for the shopping cart and search software to properly
function. If you choose to turn off cookies in your browser you can browse our
site, but the search and the shopping cart will not work.
Javascript
Javascript is required for some features of the site to work.
You can browse the site without using Javascript, but many parts will not work.
Privacy
We do not sell your information. If you would prefer we not send
you any advertisement, please let us know! Just e-mail us at sales@forrestsmusic.com
and ask us to take you off our mailing list and we will be happy to remove you.
We will not solicit you by telephone.
E Mail
We never
email you about 'updating' your account, 'members support', etc. These e-mails
are created by viruses and/or worms and are not in any way connected to Forrests
Music.
If you are concerned about an email claiming to come from Forrests, look at
the email headers. Legitimate email from Forrests Music will have originated
from one of our mail servers, forrestsmusic.com, mail.forrestsmusic.com,
mailout.easymail.ca, or smtp.easymail.ca
