| P-27 being installed: First the base plate is installed (using the same screws and holes on most instruments), then the thumb rest slides on to the base plate. The thumb rest easily slides off (but never when it's in use!) so the instrument fits in its case with no modifications. | P-27 installed: The hook can be adjusted up and down in relation to the thumb plate. It also swivels in relation to the thumb plate for maximum support and comfort. |
