Fox Standard Bassoon Case
With well proportioned, square cornered design, this case provides excellent protection for most makes and models of bassoons. Plush lined, with 2 bocal retainers and 2 accessory compartments. Case has end and side handles. Measures 4"x 11" x 27 1/4". Please order case cover separately; choose V-15, V-08 or V-22.

Wiseman Bassoon Case

Wiseman Tubular Bassoon Case
This design features a rigid shell made of aircraft plywood, reinforced with aluminum and covered with top grain black leather. The interior of the case is well padded and velvet lined. The two halves of this "clam shell" design are joined by a piano hinge.The case is held securely closed, first by a continuous Velcro valance which helps to make the case drip-proof, then by a detachable leather belt with a metal buckle. When closed, the case will stand upright on end. The detachable sheet music pouch is sized to hold orchestra scores and snaps to the outside of the case.
On the inside, all individual joints of the bassoon are completely immobilized and protected by padded velvet blankets. At one end of the "lid" is a storage compartment with a tool pouch, and there is still ample room for your reed cases. Two bocals can be safely carried in the "bocal socks" carried in the middle between the two halves of the case.
Lining colors are factory select; black, maroon, dark green, dark blue, and purple. If you have a preference please let us know in the "comment" box when you order and we will do our best to oblige.

Soft Cases

Bassoon Soft Case
This made in USA oval soft case is made of black, coated nylon duck, heavily padded with closed cell foam and lined with a lint free nylon cloth. Its unique features distinguish it from all other bassoon gig bags:
· Four adjustable length compartments into which the joints are placed rather than sliding them into a tube. There can be no movement of the joints against one another. Plastic panels assure that the case remains rigid.
· Fits all standard bassoons, as well as a wide range of 'non standard' bassoons including baroque, classical, French etc.
· A protective, padded inner flap covers the joints. Rigid bocal compartments are within the protective flap.
· Zippered and padded lid encloses the bassoon.
· Modular backpack straps are concealed within a separate pocket.
· Adjustable shoulder strap
· Light weight, about 5 lbs.

Forrests Bassoon Bocal Case
Wood shell case holds four bocals. It has a hinged lid and two secure latches. Black vinyl covered exterior, velvet lined interior. Fits most standard curve bocals. Measures 1 3/8 x 6 1/4 x 11 1/8". fits easily in case cover pocket. Weighs approximately1 lb.

BG Bocal Case.
Light weight zipper closure pouch holds 4 bocals. Inside is made of velvet covered foam, outside is leather reinforced with a metal sheet.

Bassoon Bocal Wallet
Each bocal is held against the cushioned interior with elastic straps, and a thick cushion seperates the 2 halves of the case. The outside has lightweight but rigid panels for maximum protection.
Hold 4 bocals, measures 6 3/4" X 11 3/4" X 1 5/8", weighs 14 1/2 oz.

SHEARLING CASE COVERS

Shearling lined case covers have been favored by musicians for years. These covers protect the case corners from physical wear and the instrument from rapid temperature changes.
The outer shell is made of water repellent nylon cloth and is lined with nylon fleece, thus creating an effective thermal insulating layer.
The easy sliding coil type zipper fully encloses the case including end handles, and the full length zipper pockets and two detachable straps (which can function as shoulder or backpack straps) just add to this covers excellent value.

Shearling Case Cover Sizes
The measurements shown here have a tolerance range of plus or minus 3/16". Since measurements will vary depending on whether case handles, latches or hinges were included, the "cushiony" shearling lining compensates for variations of the case size of as much as 3/8".
